SAFETY CORNER

Hurricane season runs June 1 – November 1

Belle Parc has no buildings that are rated safe for hurricanes and there are no tornado shelters anywhere in Florida. However, in an emergency, if you cannot get to a store such as Dollar General, Walmart, or Publix, the block buildings at Belle Parc such as the bath house, activity center restrooms, welcome center restrooms, out of the view of windows are the safest places we can recommend.

You can find more information at www.hernandocounty.us by clicking on Emergency Management under Departments, or see the recent email we sent.

You can also sign up for weather alerts on this website.

We have a washer & dryer for pet bedding in the Maintenance laundry room. If your pet sleeps on your bed please consider washing this bedding in that washer as well as some guests have pet allergies and any pet hair left behind can trigger those allergies. And it is always a common courtesy to wipe out the machines and empty the lint trap after use! Thank you in advance!

SAFETY CORNER

For assistance with other guests not following rules, such as 10pm quiet time, barking or aggressive dog, please contact the office.  If you feel unsafe, whether there is someone standing outside your RV, banging on the door, or you feel in danger, please call 911. Remember your 911 address is the 5-digit number on your light pole plus the street name of your site. This can be found on the map or your address label from check-in.

Laundry Room Reminders

  • Canadian coins will lock up the machines
  • High efficiency (HE) machines need HE detergent to prevent excess bubbles and overflow
  • Detergent pods should be placed directly in the drum before adding clothes
  • Upper laundry room will be closed in the summer for drain repairs

Looking for a volunteer for next season – bingo caller!

Renewal Process

We will email & post signs throughout park when we get the new rates!

If you are here for 4 months or more this season and want to return for 4 months or more next season, you can renew your reservation!

Phase 1: Those who want to keep their same site for next season just fill out the renewal form!

Phase 2: Those who want to renew but want a different site would list their 3 preferences from the list of available sites we will send out by email (also a copy in the office). Your own site will also be on the list so you can still list that as one of your preferences. If 2 (or more) guests want the same site it will go to the one with the longest new reservation. If both (or all) guests are annuals then it will go to the one who has been here the most months total.

Once all renewals have been completed, we will send out a final list of sites available to see if anyone wants to change their site. At this time there will be a $10 site change fee.

We will then input the renewals into our CampLife system and collect deposits from all except for yearly guests renewing after their first year.

Hernando County Solid Waste & Recycling has 3 locations to take larger items.

Convenience Center 33070 Cortez Blvd

(352) 540-6205

Main Landfill 14450 Landfill Rd

(352) 754-4112

Convenience Center 2525 Osowaw Blvd

(352) 754-4770

As a courtesy, please do not cut through other guests’ yard while walking. A rule of thumb would be to stay at least 5-6 feet from their RV so they can have their “personal” space! Do not allow pets to urinate on other guests’ yard items.

Maintenance has completed 696 work orders so far this season!

Thank you for letting us know when something is broken or not working as it should.

And thank you to all the staff who work hard each season!

Policy Reminders – warnings have been issued

  • Gas carts are not allowed in park
  • Pets must be on 6ft non-retractable leashes at all times, unless inside Bark Park
  • Quiet hours begin at 10pm until 8am

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 2023.  We are still busy and hard at work improving our Resort and adding to our Guest Services / Activities for the remainder of the winter season and beyond.  The holiday season from Thanksgiving to Christmas and New Year’s was active and festive.  Thanks to all staff and volunteers for the beautiful decorations, wonderful meals and fun activities.

DRIVE SLOW – PLEASE!

We had a minor accident in the resort that involved speed and not paying close attention. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be careful going around the resort in your vehicle, bike, golf cart, and scooter and keep speed at 10mph or below, using brakes when necessary!

We love our pets but have a few concerns:

Aggressive behavior from dogs will not be tolerated. They must be leashed and under your control when outside your RV, except when inside the Bark Park.

Pets are not allowed in any buildings to include the Welcome Center, Mailroom, Activity Center and Pavilion nor the pool area.

We appreciate your assistance in following these policies!

Belle Parc Caring Group

There are several interested guests who have formed a Belle Parc Caring Group. This group is interested in taking care of our neighbors who may have needs or assistance with various issues from meal trains (for those returning from hospital procedures), rides to and from the hospital to picking up someone’s mail and taking it to them when they are under the weather. Many ideas have been discussed and we are open to other suggestions. We would like to start a food pantry with nonperishables. We want to start a free ticket jar for meals or ice cream that could be donated to and used by those who want a meal but can’t afford it that week. We want to meet any needs that your neighbor may have. Just let us know if you see a need by emailing the group. If you are interested in serving your neighbors, just email the group with suggestions or types of things you would be willing to do to help.

Reservations

Thank you for your patience while we await our

2023-2024 rates to start the Renewal Process!

As soon as we get the new rates we will post notices in the mailroom, info boards, laundry rooms, office, etc.

Renewal Process

Phase 1: Those who want to reserve their same site for next season

Phase 2: Those who didn’t keep their same site can select 3 choices for a new site!

Maintenance

  • Thank you for calling the office when you see a broken washer or dryer and having the #number of the unit as well. It helps us make timely repairs!
  • Modems: There are times when we have to reset the  modem internet system and many times it happens without notice, for which we apologize. If your modem is not working please reset the button on the back with a pin or paper clip and allow it at least 5min to reboot. If it still isn’t working, please call the office.

Mail Center

Please be patient when you get a text/email saying your package has been delivered. We have found that the text/email is often sent when it is placed on the truck to be delivered here.

We get between 70-100 packages a day and it takes a while to go through them and put notices in your box.

Also, the mail & package deliveries are sometimes not even here until after 4pm.

Important Reminder: If you need to call 911 for any reason, please give them the 5-digit number on the pole at your site as well as the street name.

We no longer have fax capabilities but if you need anything printed or scanned & emailed, please stop by the Reservations Office!

A covered outdoor activity area has recently been installed behind the Activity Center.  This area is for guest use for informal and personal enjoyment.  If you plan a group activity that you wish to be held there, please coordinate with the Guest Service staff to make sure your event does not interfere with another planned event.  Only guest services staff can approve group activities.  As always, private events are not allowed in Belle Parc community buildings or areas.

We will begin serving more meals out of our Activity Center kitchen. The first breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, January 21. Watch for your Sunday email from Glenn Woods, our Guest Services Director for more information, and see below for more Activity updates.

Our thanks to the guests coordinating the Friday Fireside activity.  This has been a big hit and we are happy that the fire pit area is getting a lot of use this year.  Please let our staff know if more wood needs to be brought to that area.

Improvements to the Pavilion continue; we have added a dance floor area in front of the stage.  We plan to expand this area; we had a great turnout on New Year’s Eve and that area was full.  Lighting outside the Pavilion has been improved and we will be adding reflective road markers in the cross-walk area between the Pavilion and the Fitness Center restrooms.  Whenever permits and inspections allow for further improvements, restrooms will be installed inside the Pavilion.

The Corn Hole games and Shuffleboard courts have new score towers installed.  New Shuffleboard cue sticks have been purchased.  We appreciate Derrick and Diane coordinating this activity.

We plan to install a guest area in Phase 3 (the premium sites and park models bounded by the farm, the Nature Reserve and the subdivision).  Plans are for this to be a stand-alone gazebo-type area with built-in seating.  Details will follow.

Belle Parc has sold the last of our Park Models on site.

Please do not drop “slap” weights in the Fitness Center.  This causes the cables to fall off the pulleys and will eventually break the ropes.  When you add more weight over your strength limit, it can lead to injuries. Please make sure that you have added only the weights that you can execute without breaking form. Clanking the weights is also is not good for your workout (it takes pressure off the muscle being worked).

If you hear a loud “boom”, it could be the CEMEX Brooksville Cement Plant and Quarry operations. They are located at the intersection of Yontz and Cobb Roads and mine rock for concrete, aggregates and related products.

Please see more information below from our Maintenance, Activity, Reservation and Mail Center staff.

Welcome to our guests who have arrived since our previous seasonal newsletters were published.  If you did not receive a copy, you can pick one up in the Mail Center, Activity Office or Welcome Center TV / Internet Café room on the table just outside the reservation office. These can also be accessed from our website http://www.belleparcrvresorts.com/.  The link Current Newsletter is just below the photo banner on the home page.  There is a lot of important information on these newsletters and I recommend you read them.  If you are unable to access them from the website, please send an email to office@belleparvrcresorts.com and I will email you a copy.

I am developing a Frequently Asked Questions page on our website in the hopes that newsletters can be streamlined for our guests who stay the year or season, but also give new guests important information on the Resort that is easily  accessible.  I will continue to send weekly emails to current guests as needed for reminders, notices and concerns.

Thank you for choosing Belle Parc for your stay.  If there is anything I can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please contact me at office@belleparcrvresorts.com

Theresa Woods, Resort Manager

Facebook Posts

https://www.facebook.com/groups/friendsinbelleparc.com

There is a public Friends In Belle Parc group on Facebook that is available for guests to communicate with each other.  If you would like to be added to that group, search for the group within Facebook or follow the above link to send a request to be added to the group.  If you experience difficulties, let our Guest Services staff know by stopping by the Activity Office or by sending us an email to activities@belleparcrvresorts.com.  If you need service or have a question for Belle Parc staff, please call the office.  We strive to post activity communications to this group but do not monitor it as closely as we do our emails. Any questions or problems will be addressed more thoroughly and quickly by contacting the appropriate staff.

GROUNDS AND MAINTENANCE

If you need assistance with any maintenance, grounds, modem or IT issues, please contact the office and they will complete a work order request so service requests can be prioritized. We have fulfilled over 500 work order requests since October 1.  We appreciate your patience; we process all work orders, including for Internet as soon as possible, most of the time on the same day of the request.

We also take invoice payments with your approval by email for your convenience.

In the Reservation Office we also have rolls of quarters for you to buy; rolls of $10 only.

We are selling jackets, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, golf shirts, t-shirts (hats will be arriving soon) in a variety of great colors with the Belle Parc logo.

Season 2023-2024 reservations – we will have an “open house” for 2023-2024 reservations as soon as rates have been approved by our corporate office.  This includes renewals for our yearly guests.  We will send out an email to all registered guests outlining the process and deadlines.  Flyers will be posted on all buildings and message/bulletin boards.  If you expect to be away from the resort during that time, please ask the office for a Renewal Request for 2023 – 2024 Season. The first phase will be for guests who want to remain on their current sites and the second phase will be for current guests who want to move to another site.  More details will be distributed soon. The Welcome Center TV room is open to guests after office hours to hang out with friends or family, play games at the tables, check out the Belle Parc and Nature Coast concierge binders, pick up activity related literature, watch TV or just check out our library with a variety of books.  The Help Desk is an office workstation in this area and we ask that guests not use this area during the day for gatherings.
